Josh Snavely, DNP, ARNP, ACNPC-AG, ANVP-BC, SCRN is a neurohospitalist and lead neurovascular clinician with Franciscan Neurology Associates at the Comprehensive Stroke Center at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He serves as the Clinical Director for Neurovascular Services for Franciscan Medical Group and is the chair of the stroke program for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, the Northwest division of CommonSpirit Health. He is also an affiliate instructor with the University of Washington. Josh previously served as a regional stroke program coordinator for CHI Franciscan Health and held numerous leadership and clinical roles in emergency and pre-hospital medicine.
Josh completed his Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the University of Washington and his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida. He is a graduate of the NET-SMART neurovascular fellowship program and is certified as an Advanced Neurovascular Practitioner and Adult/Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Snavely is a published author in the journals Stroke and Neuroscience Nursing and is a reviewer for the Journal Neuroscience Nursing. He regularly speaks on the topic of stroke and has presented numerous abstract presentations at the International Stroke Conference, Neuroscience Nursing Annual Education Meetings, and local stroke conferences.
