Board Bio - Michelle Whaley

I’m Michelle Whaley and I’m an advanced practice nurse and stroke program coordinator at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado. I completed both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, earning a master’s degree in the science of nursing in 2007. I’ve worked in the field of stroke since 2009, at all levels of stroke program certification. It was the NETSMART program that really gave me the knowledge and skills to practice at the level that I do today. I hold multiple certifications, but the one that I’m most proud of is the ANVP-BC.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, my career has been focused on reversing acute ischemic stroke and reducing disability, but I have an interest in increasing nursing knowledge in the area of neurovascular studies. ANVC is a great fit for me, as our organization is focused on empowering clinicians through education and certification.

In my spare time, I like to camp, travel, and watch the Colorado Rockies play baseball.
