ANVC MASTER CLASSES - PRE-CONFERENCE (November 13th)
Stroke Imaging and Diagnostics Fundamental Learning and Skills $195.00
Suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners, this Master Class will take participants through the fundamentals of imaging interpretation, including CT brain (CTB), CT angiogram (CTA) and CT perfusion (CTP) scans, and MRIs. Learn how to differentiate common radiological findings and assess for subtle signs of stroke. Through a hands-on session with subject matter experts, participants will also learn how to assess patients using Point of Care technologies, such as ultrasound and Transcranial Doppler.
Beyond the NIHSS - Additional Neuro Assessments $95.00
This Master Class aims to build participants knowledge and skills in neurological assessments beyond the standard NIHSS, including cranial nerve assessments, common signs and symptoms of stroke mimic presentations and Head Impulse testing. Participants will learn the importance of these comprehensive assessments, when and how to apply them. This class is suitable for all levels of practitioners.
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Understanding and Interpreting Research $95.00 
Would you like to have a better understanding of research and be able to assess the quality of published results? Then this class is for you. Leading experts will teach participants the essentials of good research principles and how to assess and analyze these when reading papers. They will explain concepts such as sample sizes, power, primary and secondary analyses and generalizability of results. Participants will be more empowered to critique research and understand relevance to their clinical practice.

The ANVC Annual Conference is the perfect venue to share your original science and quality improvement findings with your peers. We welcome submissions that share methods to improve stroke systems of care, important clinical interventions and findings that improve patient outcomes, and innovative strategies to better develop stroke team members. This year the ANVC is thrilled to announce that abstracts will be accepted for both oral and poster presentations.
