What A Year!
None of us would have believed at this time last year what we would be facing in the following 365 days. It has been a whirlwind to say the least! In healthcare, most of our time was spent preparing for COVID-19, preventing COVID-19, caring for COVID-19 and curing COVID-19. Stroke has also been a hot topic in COVID-19 care, as it appears to result in harmful short and long term effects on the vascular system, increasing the risk for stroke across all age groups, including the young.

I am proud of ANVC's adaptation to our new (hopefully temporary) normal. Our NVRN and ASC courses have gone virtual, and soon ANVP will too. I am so proud of you that have become certified this year. You were inundated with COVID, yet you spent time learning stroke, taking your stroke expertise to a higher level, and solidifying that knowledge with a new certification. You are the ones on the front line, caring for stroke patients, ensuring stroke care is accurately delivered. ANVC supports you.
